Karl Riecken, DO

A native of American West, Dr. Riecken is originally from Albuquerque, NM and finds himself in the Pacific Northwest after residency in Tacoma where he and his wife, Jasmine, are closer to family. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Community Health Care in Tacoma, WA (part of the University of Washington). He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rocky Vista University COM in Parker, CO. Before medical school, Dr. Riecken ran the Human Performance Lab at the National Training Center in Clermont, FL, working primarily with high-performance athletes. He still very much enjoys helping people to optimize their health through nutrition, training, and root-cause medicine. He holds a master's degree in exercise physiology, credentials in coaching multiple sports including triathlon and Olympic weightlifting, sports nutrition, strength and conditioning, and functional medicine. In his spare time you can find him hiking on the trails with the family dogs!
