Vera Whole Health was honored to have been a 2019 Health Value Awards finalist in the Direct Care Provider category.

“We’re so excited to celebrate our award finalists. Participating in the Health Value Awards shows these healthcare companies and providers are not only committed to providing high-quality, value-based healthcare, but are ready to lead the industry in this new, exciting, and necessary direction,” said RD Whitney, CEO of Validation Institute.

The 2nd annual awards ceremony was held at the World Health Care Congress in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, April 28th. The Health Value Awards recognizes health care vendors, brokers, and purchasers who consistently deliver high value that can be replicated throughout the continuum of clinical and financial risk management.

Ryan Schmid, president and CEO of Vera, acknowledged the award program’s recognition of the Vera vision to create a health revolution. “We are honored to be recognized for the proven results of our advanced primary care model and its impact on the health and satisfaction of the patients we serve,” said Schmid.

Vera competed in the "Validated Results" category, where results are evaluated by the Validation Institute. All categories are then reviewed by a panel of nationally prominent judges for market viability, impact, and innovation. The Health Value Team — World Congress, Validation Institute and Health Rosetta Institute — showcases these organizations based on their performance and illumination of issues of national importance.

The Validation Institute is an independent, objective, 3rd party organization on a mission to improve the quality and cost of healthcare. Based in Portsmouth, N.H., the organization is made up of a network of health benefits purchasers, health benefits advisors, and healthcare solution providers focused on delivering better health value and stronger outcomes than conventional healthcare.

As a national leader in advanced primary care, Vera Whole Health has pioneered a model uniquely designed to help people achieve optimum social, psychological and physical well-being — an outcome that’s neither probable nor affordable within the current sick-care system.

Vera Whole Health is the first advanced primary care center provider in the United States to earn a Certificate of Validation by the Validation Institute for sound population health cost outcomes.
