Heidi Baines, MD

Originally from Hawaii, Dr. Baines graduated from University of Washington School of Medicine and the Alaska Family Medicine Residency and has made Alaska her home for more than 20 years. Before joining Vera Whole Health in 2019, she led medical staff in community and tribal health organizations in Unalaska/Dutch Harbor, Kodiak and Anchorage. Dr. Baines is passionate about the impact a strong relationship with a primary care provider can have on one's health and cares for a wide variety of medical issues. Outside of clinical medicine, Dr. Baines works to develop clinical leaders and improve the systems to help our team care for our patients. She enjoys subsistence harvesting with her family, sewing and biking.
