Triin Minton, MD

Triin Minton was born in Tallinn, Estonia. She graduated from Tartu University in Estonia in 1995 with her Medical Degree. After graduation, she emigrated to the United States and eventually moved to Alaska as she had always dreamed of living in the midst of mountains. Dr. Minton graduated from Alaska Family Medicine residency in 2006 and served as the Chief Resident in 2005/2006. After graduation, Dr. Minton worked in primary care for 12 years. She also took care of patients in nursing homes and provided medical consults at the mental health unit in Providence hospital. Currently, she is working part-time in Hospice Care. Working with hospice patients reminds her daily about the beauty and fragility of life, and she feels humbled to be part of her patients' journey. In 2022, she joined Vera Health's occupational medicine branch, providing firefighter exams and clearances. She considers it an honor and privilege to be able to take care of our public servants. During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors. She enjoys the magnificent beauty of Alaska's nature and the pristine wilderness that surrounds us. She is an avid tennis player and also loves hiking, camping, skiing, and spending time with family and friends and her two lovable dogs.
